What this page covers
This covers the SpotRentt website: the early-access list and the contact form. The apps have their own privacy terms, which you'll see before you create an account.
What we collect when you join the early-access list
- Your email address. Required. It is how we send the confirmation link and the launch invitation.
- What you're joining as: tenant, landlord, agent, mover or other. We open one area at a time and need both sides present, so your role and area decide which batch you are invited in.
- Your name, phone number, town and how you heard about us. All optional. Leave them blank and the early-access list works exactly the same.
- A one-way hash of your IP address and a truncated browser user-agent string. We store the hash, never the address itself. It exists so we can spot one source flooding the form.
What we do with it
Two emails. One asking you to confirm the address, and one telling you when your area opens. That is the entire mailing programme.
We do not sell your details, share them with landlords or agents, or add you to a marketing list. Nobody buys their way to your inbox through us.
The contact form
Your name, email, chosen topic and message are stored so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation. Nothing more is collected.
How long we keep it
Early-access entries are kept until launch, and for up to twelve months afterwards. Unsubscribing removes you from every mailing immediately. Contact messages are kept for two years.
Getting your data, or getting it deleted
Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link. For a copy of what we hold, or for it to be deleted entirely, email hello@spotrentt.com from the address you signed up with and we will action it.
Where it is processed
Early-access and contact data is stored on SpotRentt's own infrastructure. Email delivery is handled by a third-party provider, which necessarily processes the address we send to.
If you accept analytics, the usage data is processed by Google (Google Analytics), on servers outside Kenya, under Google's data processing terms. It is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, at most 14 months.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that affects what we do with your data, we will update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, tell you by email.
