The order things happen in
From a vacancy to a move, in ten steps.

A vacancy is entered in Manage
Manage is the only way a home reaches the feed. The owner or the caretaker enters the vacancy.

The contact is checked
The contact proves control of their phone or email, and agrees to be shown. Their ID is checked, and the owner confirms they may arrange viewings.

The caretaker confirms every week
One reply a week keeps the home listed. With no reply for 14 days, the home is hidden.

The entrance is pinned at the gate
Where a caretaker has captured it, the home's entrance is pinned on site. A home without a pinned entrance shows as approximate.

The feed ranks by fit and freshness
Homes are ranked from your search profiles: where you work or study, your budget and your household. Paid plans never buy feed position.

You save and unlock
You save homes, then choose which to unlock from Saved Listings. One unlock credit gives three unlocks.

You visit before anyone listed may ask for a fee
After you unlock, nobody listed on SpotRentt may ask you for a fee or deposit before you visit.

You apply and sign
You apply to the landlord and sign the lease.

You pay rent to your landlord
You pay your landlord's own paybill, till or bank account, and enter the M-Pesa code. Your landlord confirms it, and the record is labelled landlord-confirmed.

You move
Ask for a move quote when your lease starts. You pay the mover directly.
Contacts
A contact's number or email is shown only with that person's consent, and only after you unlock a home.Checks reduce fraud but do not remove it. Apart from buying an unlock credit, do not pay anyone before you visit.
Rent
Rent goes to your landlord.
Rent goes to your landlord's own paybill, till or bank account. SpotRentt never holds, routes or escrows rent.
A rent record you own
Enter the M-Pesa code after you pay rent. Your landlord confirms it, and the month joins a rent record you own and can export.

Tell us where you work or study. We open area by area as homes there are confirmed.
