Rental homes near where you work in Nairobi, with the checks and dates in plain view.

SpotRentt is built around two rules: a home is shown only while its last confirmation is under 14 days old, and nobody listed may ask for a fee after you unlock. It shows homes near where you work, and the date each one was last confirmed vacant.

How we operate

People on the ground confirm each home.

Caretakers confirm each home every week. SpotRentt staff or scouts audit a share of listings. A home not confirmed for 14 days is hidden, and every contact is checked before a tenant can see it.

Checks reduce fraud but do not remove it. Apart from buying an unlock credit, do not pay anyone before you visit.

How we check homes

Principles

Four rules we hold ourselves to.

  • No rank for pay

    Paid plans never buy feed position. A home ranks by fit and freshness, not by who pays.

  • No absolutes

    We say what was checked, by whom and when. We do not use words such as “verified” or “safe” on their own.

  • You own your rent record

    Your rent record is yours to export. It is not a credit score, and there is no blacklist.

  • Rent goes to your landlord

    Rent goes to your landlord's own paybill, till or bank account. SpotRentt never holds, routes or escrows rent.
